Love Is Bald was born from love, friendship, and the enduring legacy of a remarkable young woman…
When friends from the Wilmington, North Carolina area lost a very special part of their circle, they were determined to keep her spirit alive. In 2004, Peyton Dergay lost her courageous battle with cancer, but the impact she made on those around her continues to inspire and uplift others every day.
A best friend is someone who brings out the very best in others, and Peyton did exactly that. Through Love Is Bald, her kindness, strength, and joyful spirit live on, encouraging acts of generosity, compassion, and hope throughout our community. What began as a way to honor Peyton's memory has grown into a lasting tribute that continues to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families facing cancer and other challenges.
